The certificate was presented by Dr. Sorpole Tulayasevi (left), Deputy Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, to Mr. Marut Arthakaivalvatee (right), Vice Chairman of VGI Public Company Limited, who represented the company in receiving the honour.

The ESG DNA Project is designed to enhance fundamental knowledge of sustainability, covering the three key dimensions of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Through this initiative, organisations are encouraged to integrate sustainable practices into their operations and strategies, ensuring long-term growth and positive impact on stakeholders, society, and the environment.

The award was presented by Mr. Robert Dornau, Head of CSA Corporate Engagement at S&P Global, to Ms. Sinatta Kiewkhong, Director of Investor Relations and Sustainability, and Dr. Nalinrut Masomboon, Assistant Director of Sustainability Development, who represented BTS Group Holdings PCL and VGI PCL at the ceremony.

This Top 1% distinction serves as a testament to VGI’s deep commitment to sustainability, underlining its position as the No.1 leader in ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) in its industry for the third consecutive year. VGI achieved an outstanding ESG score of 82 out of 100 in the PUB: Media, Movies & Entertainment industry group, as reported in The Sustainability Yearbook 2025 by S&P Global, a globally recognized authority in corporate sustainability benchmarking.

The Sustainability Yearbook 2025, produced by S&P Global, evaluated the ESG performance of more than 7,690 companies across 62 industries worldwide. This year, only 65 companies globally were awarded a place in the Top 1% tier, selected from over 780 organizations recognized for their sustainability efforts. Of these, only 46 companies from Thailand were included in the Yearbook, with VGI ranked No.1 in Thailand among four companies in the Media, Movies & Entertainment industry group.

This distinguished recognition underscores VGI’s long-standing vision and unwavering dedication to conducting business with a balanced and enduring focus on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sound governance. The wellness and leadership summit in Bangkok wraps after two days of immersive experiences, meaningful talks, and networking with over 2,000 attendees and many renowned speakers 

Bangkok, Thailand – Dragonfly, a leading platform in Asia for leaders to catalyze social change for a more inclusive and harmonious society, has wrapped up its first H.E.A.L. (Harmony, Empathy, Acceptance, and Love) Summit in Bangkok and announced a new academy and retreat in Bali. This transformative event brought together renowned thought leaders, changemakers, and wellness enthusiasts from around the world for a journey of self-discovery, connection, and impactful change. Welcoming over 2,000 attendees, renowned speakers such as Steven Bartlett and Roxie Nafousi, took center stage, sharing their thoughts with the audience on how to transform yourself to lead well.

During Dragonfly H.E.A.L. Summit 2024, British entrepreneur and bestselling author Steven Bartlett shared his insights on self-improvement and entrepreneurship in a talk entitled ‘Leading with Purpose: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Personal Growth’, he said: “Don’t spend too much time in the trench, not enough time in the clouds. During the H.E.A.L. Summit 2024, Dragonfly announced its upcoming leadership retreat and academy in Bali, in collaboration with Elevation Barn, designed to be the ultimate five-day retreat to deepen and strengthen attendees’ personal grounding in self and advance their skills to lead well. Set to take place between November 30 and December 4, 2024, the retreat will gather some of Bali’s top wellbeing experts and through clarity of purpose mapping, participants will learn how to lead well and live a more joyous journey of positive impact.

The event was part of the “Corporate Carbon Offset Promotion Project towards Carbon Neutrality” organised by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO in collaboration with Centre of Excellence on enVironmental strategy for GREEN business or VGREEN, Kasetsart University. In this matter, Nalinrut Masomboon represented both organisations and received the certificate on 22^nd August 2024 at Asvin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok. The session included sharing experiences in implementing corporate carbon offset and event organization, demonstrating both organisations ongoing commitment to effectively convey the companies’ sustainability efforts and potential on sustainability nusiness.

The above led to the discovery that the Company produced a total of 2,093 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in greenhouse gas emissions, which can be broken down into 116 tons of direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1) and 1,977 tons of indirect greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption (Scope 2). Therefore, VGI has set to curtail its greenhouse gas emissions and offset the generated amount by optimising and bolstering the efficiency of its operational processes. This initiative led the Company to attain the Carbon Neutral certification – a designation bestowed upon organisations that have effectively neutralised the aggregate greenhouse gas emissions, encompassing both direct and indirect emissions from energy consumption, bringing the total emissions to zero.

Commenting on the significant achievement, Nelson Leung, CEO of VGI, said, “This recognition of VGI as the sole media company in Thailand with the “Carbon Neutral” certification is a testament to our uncompromising determination to play a responsible role toward the society. This achievement also helps pave the way for Thailand to embark on a journey to reduce its net greenhouse gas emissions and become a low carbon society in the future.”
